![]() They have an impressive collection of operable WWII ordinance and memorabilia.īefore dinner we took up Ryan's suggestion of firing the flamethrower at night. ![]() On our ride we all manner of antelope, deer, sheep, kangaroos and more. Ryan said the ranch is twice the size of Manhattan. We met some tortoises, had lunch while watching bison cruise by just feet away and then explored the grounds by Jeep. We started our first day by meeting our guide Ryan. Plus, there's all you can drink adult beverages stocked everywhere. They have awesome military decor and really set the tone. ![]() The grounds are like the Kilimanjaro Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom.except you're immersed in it for the entirety of your stay. It's nearly impossible to capture in words how incredibly unique the adventure was that my friend and I had on the Ox Ranch. I have been to a lot of gun ranges and shooting experiences and hands down this was the most in depth, family friendly and enjoyable experience and even if you aren't a gun enthusiast this is something the whole family can enjoy. The staff were AMAZING, Glen was more than happy to stay late so we could do the flame thrower experience at night (which was 1000% cooler in the dark!!) and when my wife dropped her glasses while driving the tank course Tommy (who is a trained military Historian Olympic shotgun shooter) cheerfully back tracked the entire course to (successfully) find my wife's glasses. The boys LOOOOOOVED climbing inside all the 20+ tanks and playing on the anti aircraft guns and just getting to play with the dozens and dozens of tanks, artillery, armored personnel carriers ect. Riley was beyond kind and patient with out 3 "energetic" sons (ages 3, 6 and 8) and he made sure each of the boys had fun and were safe while riding the Sherman and Leopard tank around the property and while shooting guns at the range. The whole experience is a military museum where you touch, use and ride on all the exhibits. I expected to have fun shooting big guns on a range but when we got there it really was so much more. We stayed at the "barracks" and it was really nice. I knew I would have a good time but was surprised how much my wife (who isn't in to guns) and 3 small sons enjoyed it. My whole family spent a whole day with and had a ball. ![]()
